Kora Organics

Kora Organics Range

Kora Organics is the (new) skincare/wellness range by Miranda Kerr and who would not want to have skin like Miranda! The range has a philosophy of enriching skin and spirit with ingredients that are energised with Rose Quartz. Kora is also certified organic, cruelty free and not tested on animals, it is also sold internationally from Australia.

Turmeric Brightening & Exfoliating Mask 2n1

Turmeric seems to be the buzz word right now and this 2 n 1 exfoliating mask does not disappoint with its vibrant colour and peppermint zing.

With rosehip seeds, aspen bark, papaya enzymes and peppermint the natural Beta Hydroxy Acid (BHA) provides a brightening effect that can be used in two ways.

The mask can be used as an exfoliator for an instant pick me up or as an intensive treatment mask which can be left on the skin for 10-15 minutes to allow the BHA’s to chemically exfoliate. When removing the mask the rosehip seeds gently exfoliate, this can also be used as a scrub straight away and this is method that I prefer to use.

Noni Glow Sleeping Mask

Sleeping masks are also having a moment, everyone seems to have a sleeping mask. Essentially this sleeping mask is lighter than a night cream with a bouncy gel texture that you leave on overnight. The mask has Noni extract which is derived from the noni fruit and has antioxidant properties, Vitamins A and C which can help protect the skin from environmental damage.

The sleeping mask also contains coconut milk, kakadu plum extract, caviar lime extract & silver ear mushroom to leave skin plump and hydrated, calm and soothed. In my experience this feels lovely when tested however just did not translate when using the sleeping mask. On it’s own I did not notice any difference in my skin, it didn’t feel hydrated the next morning. However when using the sleeping mask with a hyaluronic acid underneath, or over the top of my moisturiser this did increase hydration (however that is more likely down to the other products not the mask.) If you have an oily skin type then this may be all the hydration you need however for me this didn’t have the ‘wow’ factor I was expecting.

Overall

Overall the premise of the range is intriguing, the packaging is effective and looks amazing on the bathroom shelf and does feel lovely when tested on the back of your hand so I was expecting a lot from this range. From the two items that I have tried I would not repurchase the sleeping mask as I did not find this effective for my skin. The turmeric mask/scrub is effective and refreshing however, there are more cost-effective options that work just as well.

You can find Kora Organics Here and they are sold in Space NK
