Summer Fridays is founded by Marianna Hewitt + Lauren Gores Ireland, 2 bloggers who wanted to create products that work to give an instant glow and “relieving stressed-out skin so everyday feels like a Summer Friday.”
Jet Lag Mask
The OG hydrating mask packed with Chestnut Extract, Vitamin C, Niacinamide, Peppermint oil, Orange peel oil and Cucumber extract for an intense hydration hit.
The mask has a fresh fragrance and buttery texture so you can use this in multiple ways, as a ‘traditional’ face mask after exfoliating by applying a thick layer over the whole face and remove after 10-15 minutes. Alternatively (and what I love to do) is use this as an overnight mask – so apply a thiner layer in as the last step in your routine and even around the eye area and leave overnight. I have also tried this as a moisturiser and it also works well. Afterwards my skin is plump, hydrated and smoother.
R & R Mask
A 2n1 mask that exfoliates and leaves a glow! A power shot of vitamins, fatty acids and antioxidants, this mask has ground rose powder that gently exfoliates with beads that contain a range of oils known for their antioxidant properties.
Applied to dry skin, when massaging the beads release the oils and when removed (after around 10 mins) the oils still remain. You can then massage the remaining oils into the skin for that Summer Fridays glow! You can then follow with your existing routine as this oils compliment any skin type. This mask also smells amazing, it does have the rose scent but this is not a old-fashioned type rose smell.
Overtime Mask
This is an exfoliating mask that smells like Autumn in a tube! With Lavender, clove, ginger and pumpkin it smells incredible and really ‘wakes up’ your senses! It is a physical exfoliant with apricot seed powder. Apply on dry skin, massage to exfoliate and leave on for 10 mins.
Overtime Mask is packed with Pumpkin plus vitamins A, K and C, Oat Kernel Powder and Vitamin E, I have also been using this is an exfoliator (not leaving it on the skin for very long) and it works really well. Leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth, ready for my next step.
This is different to the R & R Mask as this doesn’t have any oils and I personally find this to be a ‘stronger’ exfoliator.
Overall
I love the Summer Friday’s range and they have expanded this into other areas. Their masks have also passed the test with my bestie who has sensitive skin (loves the Jet Lag mask) and I feel that anyone would be able to use them.
